Humberto Bizzo

Senior Researcher

Humberto Bizzo is a Senior Researcher at Embrapa Food Technology, where they also manage the Multiuser Laboratory of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry. They obtained a Bachelor in Industrial Chemistry in 1987, a M.Sc. in Natural Products Chemistry in 1993, and a D.Sc. in Organic Chemistry in 2001, all from Brazilian universities. Previously, Humberto has worked at Souza Cruz R&D Center, Roche Brazil, and the Pharmaceutical Technology Institute at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. They also served as a Visiting Professor at the Università degli Studi di Tornio in 2020 and currently supervise and teach in the postgraduate programs of Food Science and Natural Products at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, Humberto is an Associated Editor for The Journal of Essential Oil Research and a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Symposium on Essential Oils.
