Marcelo Araujo is a biologist with extensive experience in academia and research, currently serving as a professor at UNINASSAU since August 2018. Prior to this role, Marcelo worked as a biologist for the Prefeitura from April 2018 to July 2021. Marcelo's educational background includes a postdoctoral degree in seed physiology and stress from Embrapa Semiárido, a doctorate in plant genetic resources with a focus on seed physiology from Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana, along with additional research conducted at the Millennium Seed Bank - Kew. Marcelo also holds a master's degree in agronomy specializing in irrigated horticulture from Universidade do Estado da Bahia and a degree in biological sciences from Universidade de Pernambuco.
