Rubens Gondim is a senior researcher at Embrapa, where they have focused on water for agriculture, climate change, and plant water needs since 2002. Prior to this role, they were a rural development specialist at Banco do Nordeste do Brasil from 1989 to 2002. Rubens is currently pursuing a doctorate in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on water resources, in addition to holding degrees in Agronomy and a Master’s in Agricultural Engineering from Universidade Federal do Ceará.
