Yan Cotta

Yan Cotta is a Data Manager focused on Strategy and AI Innovation at Embrapa/ABCGIL, where they manage mission-critical data assets for genetic improvement programs across Latin America. Currently, Yan serves as an invited AI researcher at FrameNet Brasil, where they collaborate on a project that combines multi-modal computer vision and natural language processing to improve AI understanding of complex human events. With a strong foundation in both biological sciences and artificial intelligence, they have previously held roles as a data analyst at Impaakt and an AI trainer at Outlier, significantly enhancing environmental impact assessments and model performance, respectively. Yan's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Georgia State University and ongoing studies in AI and Machine Learning.
