Dries Marckmann

Dries Marckmann has extensive work experience in various software engineering and technical lead roles.

Dries is currently working as a Software Architect at Emburse since April 2021.

Prior to that, they worked at Roadmap™ as a Technical Lead from April 2015 to April 2021.

From January 2015 to April 2015, Dries worked at Sound of Data as a Technical Lead, and from February 2013 to December 2014, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at the same company.

Dries also has experience at Tellus where they started as a Senior Software Engineer / Architect in October 2005 and worked until February 2013. Dries was responsible for rebuilding the old classic ASP environment into a single codebase.

Before joining Tellus, they worked at QPIT BV as a Senior Software Engineer from 2002 to September 2005. Dries was involved in implementing various features into their ITIL service management product, including Configuration management and transforming incoming emails to incidents.

Dries Marckmann started their career as an Intern Developer at Koninklijke Bibliotheek in 2001. Dries was responsible for migrating databases and developing a website to provide public access to the information.

Overall, Dries Marckmann has gained extensive experience and expertise in software architecture, technical leadership, and software engineering throughout their career.

Dries Marckmann attended Leiden University from 1995 to 2002, where they pursued a degree in Philosophy. Apart from their formal education, they also obtained a certification in PH125.1x: Data Science: R Basics from edX in December 2017.
