Mark Carey

Mark Carey has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the software development and design industry. Mark began their career at RPG as a Graphic/Web Designer and Illustrator from 2000 to 2006. Mark then joined wslash as the Lead Learning Experience Designer for nearly a decade. After that, they worked at LAKANA, LLC as a Designer/Developer, where they created prototypes, updated screens for the company CMS, and designed web-based advertisements. From 2016 to 2018, Mark worked at Allen Interactions as a Developer, focusing on creating interactive and engaging e-Learning materials using modern web development tools. Mark then joined Ravello Media as a Front End Web Developer, where they served as the primary front-end developer and utilized their UI/UX skills for an enterprise cloud application. Most recently, Mark has been working at Unum as a Software Engineer (Front End Developer), contributing to front-end development projects. Mark joined Emburse in 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer.

Mark Carey obtained an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from St. Paul Technical College from 1998 to 1999. Mark also holds a certification in "Try SQL" from Code School, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are unknown.
