Matt Walker has been working in various roles related to energy management and sustainability since 2005. Matt started their career as the South Yorkshire Environmental Coordinator at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce in March 2005 and worked there until January 2007. Matt then joined BTCV as a Business Development Manager from January 2007 to July 2011. In November 2011, they joined EQUANS UK & Ireland as a Senior Energy and Sustainability Manager, where they focused on meeting contractual targets for energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Matt worked in this role for over a decade until July 2022. Currently, they are working as the Head of Carbon Data Management at EMCOR UK.

Matt Walker completed a Post Grad Certificate in Countryside Management from Bangor University from 2003 to 2005. Prior to this, they obtained a Bsc(hons) degree in Biology from the same university from 2000 to 2003. Matt'searlier education was at Edlington Comp, although the specific dates and details are not provided.
