Joonyeup Lee

Joonyeup Lee has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2018. Joonyeup started as a Researcher at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in 2018, then moved to a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts in 2019. In 2021, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC San Diego, and most recently, they are a Scientific Developer at Emerald Cloud Lab since 2022.

Joonyeup Lee has an extensive education history. Joonyeup obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences and Neuroscience from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology between 2013 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science - BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Integrated Biotechnology from Sogang University between 2006 and 2013. In addition, they have obtained a number of certifications from Coursera, including Applied Machine Learning in Python (2022), Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python (2022), Inferential Statistical Analysis with Python (2022), Fitting Statistical Models to Data with Python (2022), Introduction to Data Science in Python (2022), Statistics with Python Specialization (2022), Understanding and Visualizing Data with Python (2022), Capstone: Retrieving, Processing, and Visualizing Data with Python (with Honors) (2022), Python for Everybody Specialization (2022), Using Database with Python (2022), Using Databases with Python (2022), Using Python to Access Web Data (2020), Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) (2019), and Python Data Structures (2019). Joonyeup has also obtained certifications from the University of Michigan Medical School and University of Michigan, including You3 Postdoctoral Leadership & Management Program (2021) and Postdoctoral Short Course on College STEM Teaching (2020).
