Fernando Medrano

Fernando Medrano has over 20 years of experience in various creative and design roles. Fernando is currently working as the Creative Director at Emerald One, LLC, where they lead a team responsible for the creative vision for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Manager at Dynamic Integrated Services, leading a cross-functional team supporting the Under Secretary for Benefits at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veteran Benefits Administration.

Fernando also has experience working as the Creative and Design Lead at Grant Thornton LLP, where they led the evolution of the company's brand into a technology-focused space. Fernando provided strategic leadership for all creative output and collaborated with senior leadership to align the brand with business goals.

Earlier in their career, Fernando worked as a Creative Director at Liquidity Services, where they led strategic planning and implementation of design, marketing, and branding initiatives. Fernando managed a global team and successfully led an enterprise rebranding effort.

Fernando has also held positions such as Manager, Design and Production at the Health Industry Distributors Association, Senior Graphic Designer at Command Decisions Systems and Solutions (CDS2), Marketing Graphic Designer at Central Wholesalers, Inc., and Creative Director at IBEC Latam. At these companies, they were responsible for managing design and branding, leading creative teams, and developing marketing strategies.

Their career started at DTI Associates - A Haverstick Company, where they worked as a Junior Graphic Designer and later became a Senior Graphic Designer. In this role, they designed and managed the production of graphics for the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor.

Fernando Medrano attended Marbella Design from 2005 to 2006, where they pursued a BS degree in Visual Communications. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2004, they attended George Mason University, where they studied Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as Visual Communications.
