K Kumar B

K Kumar B has extensive work experience in the field of data and analytics, particularly in business intelligence (BI) and data engineering. Currently, they serve as the Senior Executive - Director Data & BI Analytics at Emerald, where they lead the development and execution of the technology strategy for the BI Data and Analytics initiative. K Kumar implemented an end-to-end Data Engineering and BI analytics framework for over 100k customers of Emerald's B2B E-commerce platform and enabled cost savings of $20M by migrating older applications to a cloud platform and decommissioning legacy systems.

Prior to their current role, K Kumar B worked at InfoCepts as a Business Intelligence Manager for NBCUniversal, where they led analytics teams and delivered several large-scale BI projects. K Kumar also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Mastech Digital, an Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Sears Holdings Corporation, and a Technical Specialist at Syntel. Earlier in their career, they held roles at Wipro Limited, Reliable Software, Illinois Department of Public Health, HP, and Tata Motors.

K Kumar B has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Patna, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. K Kumar later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Management Information Systems, General from the University of Illinois System, completing it from 2010 to 2011. More recently, they completed a Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Data Science Specialization from Dimensionless Tech. in 2020-2021. In addition to their formal education, K Kumar B has obtained various certifications, including the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate. K Kumar has also completed several courses in data analytics, predictive analytics, and Tableau software.
