They co-founded several companies, including Emergency Storage and Emergency Packout Co., focused on providing tailored storage solutions and enhancing client experiences within the restoration ecosystem. Additionally, Whatley is the founder and chairman of Actionable Insights, a non-profit dedicated to improving billing standards and collaboration in the restoration industry. They have also served as deputy to the chairman and CEO at Pacific Corporate Group and currently hold executive roles at multiple organizations, including nullBrainer and Solidifai. Whatley earned a BA from California State University San Marcos and a certification from the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego.
