Sara Bailey

Sara Bailey's work experience includes various roles in human resources. Sara started their career at Central Michigan University as an Internship Mock Interviewer for Career Services. Sara then joined Manpower as a Staffing Specialist, where they consulted with businesses on their staffing and HR needs. Sara then worked at Peckham, Inc as a Vocational Services & HR Specialist, providing vocational support to individuals with disabilities. Sara later became a Human Resources manager at Michigan State University, where they advised administrators on HR policies and procedures and managed hiring processes. After that, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, focusing on employee management and performance coaching. Sara then joined Emergent BioSolutions, where they held various HR roles, including Director of HRBP Operations & Compliance and Senior Manager of HR Compliance. In these roles, they ensured compliance with employment laws, implemented continuous improvement initiatives, and led HR strategy development. Sara also provided HR leadership to different teams and managed budgets. Additionally, Sara worked as a Group Cycling Instructor at Ann Arbor YMCA.

Sara Bailey completed their education with a Masters in Public Administration from Western Michigan University, specializing in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resource Management and Psychology from Central Michigan University between 2003 and 2006. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist from the National Wellness Institute in 2018, Spinning Instructor from Mad Dogg Athletics in March 2014, Lifestyle Coach from the Diabetes Training and Technical Center @ Emory University in 2014, Certified HIPAA Privacy Associate in July 2013, and Capital Quality Initiative in 2008.
