George Levasser

George Levasser has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. In 1997, they started working as a Music Proofreader and Copyist at Associated Music Copy Service. From 2000 to 2005, they served as a Composer/Arranger at Jazz at Lincoln Center et al. George then worked as an Avant Garde Arama Committee member at Performance Space 122 from 1997 to 2006. In 2006, George joined Schonfeld Group Holdings LLC as a Securities Trader/Analyst until 2010. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. During the same period, they also volunteered at Greenwich House and served as a member of their Arts Benefit Committee from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, George became a Programming Committee member at Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, Inc. George also joined New Spectrum Foundation as an Advisory Board member in the same year. Most recently, in 2018, George founded Impending Bloom.

George Levasser has a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in Music Engineering and a minor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami. George also studied Jazz Arranging and Composition at the Eastman School of Music and Music Composition and Arranging at New York University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Models in Engineering" and "Architecture of Complex Systems" from MIT xPRO, "ESG Investing" from Columbia Business School, and various courses from platforms like Udemy, Stanford University, and Coursera.
