Aigars Mačiņš

Aigars Mačiņš has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Aigars began their career at Askivm Ltd in 2007, where they held various roles as a Software Architect, Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Project Manager. During their time at Askivm Ltd, they worked on Dynamics Ax and Axapta projects, both within Dynamics Ax and in .net environments.

In 2013, Aigars joined Microsoft as a Technical Evangelist, where they focused on different areas such as localization management, tools and engineering system innovations, automation of workstreams, system migration and integrations, and intelligent services. Aigars worked on projects including Skype, Microsoft Teams, Kaizala, GroupMe, and Luis. In 2016, they transitioned into the role of Technical Program Manager in E+D Customer Success Engineering and continued to work on engineering program management, automation/software engineering, and data analytics until 2019.

Since 2019, Aigars has been working at Emergn, initially as the Head of Engineering Excellence, where they contributed to shaping the company's Software Engineering capabilities. Aigars also held the role of Practice Lead Solution Architecture, managing Solution Architects and leading technical pre-sales efforts and designing solution designs based on client profiles and Journeys. Aigars was personally involved in the delivery of engagements and worked in various leadership roles. In 2022, they took on a delivery management role for a large engagement involving 30-40 people and 4-5 engineering teams.

Aigars Mačiņš has a Master of Engineering Sciences degree in Business Informatics from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University). Aigars also holds a Bachelor's degree in Financial Engineering from the same institution. Aigars attended Riga State Gymnasium No1, where they studied Mathematics and Computers. In terms of certifications, Aigars has obtained various qualifications such as VFQ Foundations from Emergn, Microsoft Certified Trainer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC), Selling to the C-Suite from Wharton Executive Education, and MCSA: Web Applications - Certified 2016 from Microsoft.
