David Raffelt

David Raffelt currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Emesent, overseeing software teams dedicated to SLAM and point cloud processing technologies. Prior experience includes serving as Innovation Director at Fugro, where David led engineering teams in the development of the Geo-Data Factory for data management and collaboration. With a strong background in software engineering and research, David has held various roles from Engineering Manager to Senior Software Engineer, contributing to advancements in cloud-backed subsea inspection systems and medical imaging analysis tools. David earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Queensland and holds multiple degrees from QUT in Information Technology and Biological Sciences.
