Michael Motts

Michael Motts is a highly experienced Captain, Instructor, and Examiner specializing in Boeing 777 aircraft, currently serving as a Standards Training Captain and TRI/TRE at Emirates since 2006. They began their aviation career as a Line Pilot and Chief Pilot at Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation from 1988 to 1992 and continued to build their expertise in various roles, including Coastwatch Pilot at Cobham Aviation Services and Senior Base Pilot at the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. Michael has also served as a Commissioned Officer in the Australian Army, piloting both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft from 1992 to 1998. They earned a Bachelor of Aviation from Griffith University between 2004 and 2009 and are passionate about effective pilot training, having been a foundational member of the Emirates Evidence Based Training implementation team.
