Simon Jelowitz is a seasoned professional in sports operations with extensive experience in managing high-profile international events. Currently serving as the Head of Sport Operations for Emirates Airline Dubai 7s since September 2020, Simon oversees the operational delivery of a major multi-sport event that includes the Men's and Women's HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series among many other competitions. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Manager of Event Operations at the International Cricket Council from January 2017 to September 2020, where Simon contributed to the planning and execution of several prestigious tournaments, such as the ICC Men's World Cup and ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Additionally, Simon held the position of Director of Operations at Rugby Europe from March 2014 to December 2016, focusing on tournament planning and enhancing the commercial viability of European competitions. With a career spanning over two decades in rugby and cricket operations, Simon has also held key positions at England 2015, New Zealand Rugby Union, the International Rugby Board, and European Rugby Cup Ltd. Simon holds a BA (Hons) in Politics and French from Kingston University.
