John Ross

John Ross is a seasoned hydrogeology professional with extensive experience in groundwater management and consulting. Currently serving as a Technical Specialist at EMM Consulting Pty Limited since February 2017, John contributes high-level groundwater reviews and strategic advice while remaining available for casual consulting roles. Previously, as Manager Hydrogeology at AGL Energy from May 2010 to February 2017, John oversaw strategic water-related initiatives for exploration and production projects in New South Wales and Queensland, managed contractors, and ensured regulatory compliance. Before that, John was a Principal Hydrogeologist at Parsons Brinckerhoff from August 1998 to May 2010, providing senior consulting services in hydrogeology. John's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of New South Wales, completed between 1971 and 1975.
