Michael Forbes

Michael Forbes is an experienced GIS professional with a robust background in ecology and spatial analysis. Currently serving as an Associate GIS Analyst and Remote Pilot at EMM Consulting Pty Limited since January 2019, Michael has managed substantial spatial data for the Department of Defence's Estate Maintenance and Operations Services in Queensland, achieving significant revenue increases. Previously, Michael worked as a GIS Analyst at Spotless Group, where responsibilities included mapping extensive grounds maintenance areas for over 100 Defence Establishments, and contributed to major ecological projects during tenure as an Ecologist at Sinclair Knight Merz. Additional experience includes roles as a CAD/GIS Consultant and Spatial Information Officer with the Queensland Government, and a Technical Assistant at Queensland University of Technology, where expertise in data management was applied extensively. Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Ecology from Queensland University of Technology.
