Funita Phan

Funita Phan, Ph.D., currently serves as a Project Manager and Information Specialist at Emmes, a position held since May 2019, and has previously contributed as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute from March 2018 to May 2019. Funita's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where research focused on NF-κB signaling in B-cell immunodeficiency and DNA damage repair. Prior research experience includes a Graduate Research Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison investigating cytokine-induced mechanisms of eosinophil survival and inflammation, as well as an Undergraduate Research Assistant role at Case Western Reserve University studying histone methylation in DNA repair. Funita holds dual Bachelor's Degrees in Biochemistry and Music Performance from Case Western Reserve University.
