Heather Hill is the VP of Vaccines & Infectious Diseases at Emmes. Heather has over 25 years of experience in the field of blood storage and research. Heather started their career as a contractor with the US Army, where they managed a blood storage lab and conducted clinical and bench research to extend the storage life of liquid red blood cells and post-thaw frozen RBCs. Heather also did phlebotomy, various hematology instrumentation, made storage solutions, radiolabeled RBCs for re-infusion, and measured radioactivity of circulating RBCs at timepoints post infusion. Heather then moved on to Sigma Aldrich, where they were an assistant for a year before joining Emmes. At Emmes, Heather has been able to use their expertise in blood storage and research to develop new vaccines and treatments for infectious diseases.

Heather Hill has a Master's degree in Environmental Biology from Hood College. Heather also has a Bachelor's degree in Biology (General) from Colorado State University. Heather has certification from the DIA in Project Manager Certification, from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) in Regulatory Affairs Certification, and from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC).
