Jennifer Morris

Associate Director, Research Support Services at Emmes

Jennifer Morris has a diverse work experience in the field of research support services and health informatics. Jennifer started their career in 2000 at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where they worked as a Protocol Specialist and later as a Protocol Navigation Manager and IRB Specialist. In 2016, they joined WellSpan Health as a Manager of the Human Research Protection Program. Jennifer then moved to MdHIMA in 2018, where they served as the Chair of the Legislative and Advocacy Committee. Jennifer's most recent position was at Emmes, starting in 2017. Jennifer held various roles, including Director of IRB Operations and Project Leader. Jennifer'sresponsibilities at Emmes included overseeing IRB operations for NIH-funded research programs, as well as directing the Central Institutional Review Board for the National Cancer Institute.

Jennifer Morris earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Pittsburgh between 1996 and 2000. Jennifer then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2014 to 2018. In 2020, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Jennifer Morris also holds additional certifications including Certified IRB Professional (CIP) from Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research (PRIM&R) obtained in December 2010, and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) obtained in 2000.
