Michael Otterstatter is a public health biostatistician and epidemiologist with extensive experience in cancer surveillance and mathematical epidemiology. They worked as a biostatistician and epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency of Canada from 2009 to 2012, and as a postdoctoral fellow at Health Canada from 2007 to 2009. Michael served as a senior scientist at the BC Centre for Disease Control from 2012 to 2022, where they advanced quantitative methods for epidemiology. Currently, they hold the position of biostatistician manager and senior principal biostatistician at Emmes, a role they have been in since 2022. Michael earned a PhD from the University of Toronto and both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary.
