Nilay Shah

VP, Strategic Partnerships & Medical Officer at Emmes

Nilay Shah is the current Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Medical Officer at Emmes. Prior to this, Shah served on the Board of Directors for the Indian Biomedical Association from June 2012 to February 2020. In this role, Shah was responsible for promoting collaborations, networking, and professional development among bioscience professionals working in academia, the bio/pharmaceutical-industry, and the government. Shah also served as the Board of Director and Co-Chair Biotechnology & Life Science Sector for Maryland Indian Business Roundtable, INC from April 2011 to February 2020. In this role, Shah was responsible for encouraging professional development, transition to related fields, and entrepreneurship for the life sciences professionals. Prior to these roles, Shah worked as a research at the University of Pennsylvania from January 2003 to December 2005.

Nilay Shah pursued a degree in pharmacy at Rutgers University and then went on to complete their education at the University of Mumbai.
