Patrick Walsh

President, Chief Operating Officer at Emmis Communications

Patrick Walsh is the current President and Chief Operating Officer at Emmis Communications. Prior to this, they were the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at iBiquity Digital Corporation from March 2000 to August 2006. While at iBiquity, they were responsible for finance and accounting, M&A, strategic planning, investor relations, budgeting and forecasts, information technology, facilities, and treasury operations at the pre-IPO technology venture commercializing HD Radio. Patrick successfully raised $300 million in equity and senior debt financing with a combination of venture capital, private equity, and strategic capital from Intel, Disney, Ford, Texas Instruments, and most radio operators. In addition, they developed core business relationships with digital radio technology licensees and companies important to commercializing technology, including an agreement that enabled more than 3,000 radio stations to upgrade to digital using the Company’s technology. Patrick also worked closely with consumer electronics manufacturers, automakers, and application developers.

After leaving iBiquity in 2006, Patrick Walsh took on the role of President and Chief Operating Officer at Emmis Communications.

Patrick Walsh has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. Patrick has experience in finance, accounting, and general management.

They work with Keith Phillips - Indianapolis Monthly Publisher, President, Charlie Morgan - New York Market Manager, Senior Vice President, and Angie May Yarusso - Senior Vice President, Emmis Digital. Patrick Walsh reports to Jeff Smulyan, Chairman, CEO, and Founder.
