Simon Shelley

Simon Shelley is an accomplished Applied Research Scientist at Emotech LTD, where they focus on acoustics, speech, and machine learning research. Previously, they served as a Senior Technologist at HMGCC from 2013 to 2021, engaging in various projects related to speech processing and acoustic environments. Simon completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Acoustics at the University of York, where they also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant from 2010 to 2011, investigating applications of auralization in virtual reality. Earlier, they contributed as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Eindhoven University of Technology, developing sound modules for interactive 3D modeling tools.
