Michael Hagmann

Michael Hagmann is the Head of Communications & Events at Empa, where they have worked since 2005, advising leadership and managing public outreach projects and events. With a background in the research and publishing industry, they have held roles as a science editor and journalist at prominent publications such as SonntagsZeitung and Science Magazine. Michael earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Zurich and possesses degrees in Biochemistry and Science Communication from respected institutions. They bring strong skills in editing, journalism, and event management, along with extensive experience in networking and team management.
