Ranit Monga is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Empa since December 2024, specializing in modeling of opinion dynamics. Prior to this position, Ranit gained experience as a Trainee at CERN in 2017 and as a Summer Research Intern at CD-adapco in 2014, working on a project focused on the analysis and parametric optimization of piston bowl shape and spray injection in direct injection diesel engines. Ranit holds a Doctor of Sciences (PhD) from ETH Zurich, completed in 2024, with a focus on stochastic modeling of transport processes in porous media, and has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (2018) and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (2015).
