Brian Oley

Brian Oley has a solid work experience in the software development field. Brian is currently the Software Lead at Empath Labs, a position they started in April 2023. Prior to this, Brian worked at Sproutel as a Software Lead from March 2014 until April 2023. At Sproutel, they were part of a team that developed educational toys for children with chronic illnesses, leveraging the power of play for meaningful education.

Before joining Sproutel, Brian was a Senior Software Developer at Trovare, Inc from August 2012 to March 2014. Brian developed native mobile applications for iOS and Android that interacted with wearable technology, and also independently created a web API using Node.js.

From March 2012 to March 2014, Brian worked at PHT Corporation as a Mobile Frontend Developer. There, they designed and engineered a product for the heavily FDA regulated medical field using open web technologies like Backbone and JQuery Mobile.

Prior to this, Brian was a Mobile Applications Developer at Metaversal Studios from January 2010 to March 2012. Brian developed mobile games and entertainment applications for iPhone and Android using Objective-C, cocos2d framework, and Unity3D.

Brian started their career as a Software Developer (Co-op) at Dassault Systèmes in January 2009 and worked until September 2009. Brian focused on R&D and implemented solutions in various technologies like Sencha Ext JS, Ext GWT, Dojo, Adobe Flex, and Microsoft Silverlight.

Brian's earliest work experience was as a Web Developer and Designer at Roche Realty Group, Inc from January 2004 to September 2008.

Brian Oley attended Northeastern University from 2006 to 2011. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Computer Science and Interactive Media.
