Carlos leads Empath’s marketing efforts. He brings wide-ranging experience developing and executing effective growth strategies to the role of CMO.
Prior to joining Empath, Carlos served as Executive Director of the Ignite Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Saint Peter’s University. Previously, Carlos founded Highline Point Group, LLC. a strategic advisory firm. He has held roles within the Inter-American Development Bank, Clark Hill PLC, and the U.S. House of Representatives.
Carlos is a member of Golden Seeds, one of the most active early stage investment firms focused on women led businesses. An avid investor, Carlos has advised and invested in companies across various industries including financial services, education, hospitality, and cybersecurity.
He is a board member of Certifid, American Friends of Soroka, and Cuba Skate and serves on the advisory boards of Blue Star Indexes, Chloe Capital, and the Guarini School of Business at Saint Peter’s University. Carlos is a mentor in the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative and a member of the Jewish Lawyer’s Guild and the Council of Young Jewish Professionals. He is also a Presidential Leadership Scholar.
Carlos is a contributor to the Asia Times and The Times of Israel and his writing has been featured in The Jerusalem Post, HuffPost, CNBC, Univision, and El Pais.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan, a Master’s degree from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
