Stephen White has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership roles in the technology and media industry. Stephen currently holds the position of Chief Product Officer at EMPIRE since February 2022. Previously, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at StageIt from June 2020 to April 2022. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Dubset Media Holdings, Inc. from January 2015 to February 2020 and Chairman of the Board at Dubset Media from May 2010 to February 2020.
Additionally, Stephen White served as a Board Member at Watchwith from May 2012 to September 2014. Stephen also had an extensive tenure at Gracenote, starting as the Director of Sales in January 2001 and progressing through positions like Sr. Director of Product and Content Management, Vice President of Product and Content Management, Senior Vice President - Product and Content Management, and ultimately President from August 2011 to May 2014. During their time at Gracenote, they played a critical role in growing the company and successfully led the divestiture of Gracenote from Sony, resulting in its sale to Tribune Co.
Before their tenure at Gracenote, Stephen White served as the Vice President of Product Development at Echo Networks from February 1999 to January 2001. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive Producer at USWeb/CKS from 1997 to 2000 and as a Sr. Associate at Phase Two Strategies from 1993 to 1997.
Stephen White's early career includes being the Founder and Co-CEO of Lift Magazine from 1992 to 1994. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise and leadership in various technology and media companies throughout their career.
Stephen White attended Hamden High School from 1985 to 1988. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Afro-American Studies from 1988 to 1993.
