Eric Sung

Eric Sung has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. Eric is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Empirico Inc. since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Fate Therapeutics Inc. where they held various roles, including Senior Manager from October 2021 to March 2023, Scientist from January 2021 to October 2021, and Associate Scientist from June 2019 to January 2021. Before joining Fate Therapeutics, Eric worked at eFFECTOR Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Research Associate from July 2017 to April 2019. Eric also gained experience at Regulus Therapeutics as a Senior Research Associate from July 2016 to May 2017 and as a Research Associate from November 2014 to July 2016. Eric began their career at Allergan in 2009, first as a Professional, Biology from August 2009 to March 2013 and then as a Senior Professional, Biology from March 2013 to October 2014. Prior to Allergan, they worked briefly at Cenomed Biosciences, LLC as a Senior Research Associate and at Xen, LLC as a Manager. Eric started their career in the biopharmaceutical industry at Roche Bioscience and Roche Pharmaceuticals as a Research Associate I from 2001 to 2003.

Eric Sung attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1996 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with a focus on Neurobiology. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of California, Irvine - College of Medicine from 2003 to 2007, earning a Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences.
