Iris Zhou

Iris Zhou is a Software Engineer II at Lever since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at CARFAX from May 2020 to July 2021. From May 2018 to August 2019, they were a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Autodata Solutions. In 2017, Iris held the role of VP of Engineering at Women In STEM at Western University, where they provided opportunities and resources in STEM disciplines. Iris also worked as a Student Host at the International Women Inclusion Program at Western University from September 2016 to September 2017, supporting international women students with their transition to life in Canada. Iris has also worked as a Software Systems Engineer Intern at China Telecom Corporation Limited in 2017 and as a Project Manager Assistant at Jiuhua Construction Development Group Co., Ltd. in 2016. Additionally, they volunteered as The Turtle Protection Program Volunteer at The Green Lion from June 2010 to July 2014. Iris was a student at the Harvard Summit for Young Leaders in China Alumni in 2014.

Iris Zhou has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) with a Professional Internship in Software Engineering from Western University. Iris attended Western University for an unspecified period of time before obtaining their bachelor's degree. Iris then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2022 to 2024. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2021 and November 2020, respectively. Iris also completed the Elasticsearch Essential Training and Spring: Framework In Depth courses from LinkedIn in June and May 2020, respectively. Furthermore, they completed the McGill Personal Finance Essentials course from McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management in April 2020, and the Learning Spring with Spring Boot course from LinkedIn in January 2020. Additionally, Iris holds a Smart Serve Certificate from Smart Serve Ontario, obtained in May 2019. It is unclear when and where they completed the Comprehensive WHMIS Training for which they received certification.
