Daniel Lee

Daniel Lee is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in data engineering and backend development within the healthcare and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Data Infrastructure & Engineering at Empower Pharmacy since February 2025, Daniel oversees enterprise data engineering, compliance, architecture modernization, and AI analytics platform delivery. Previous roles include Fractional CTO for Stealth Bootstrap Startups, where Daniel guided MVP execution, and Director of Backend Engineering at Coupang, where oversight was provided for the development of financial and observability platforms. Earlier in the career, Daniel held positions such as Director of Database Engineering at Zuora, achieving high uptime for billing and analytics platforms, and Senior Manager of Data Operations at Aktana, where cloud-native data pipelines for AI-driven insights were built. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Software Management from Carnegie Mellon University and pursued studies in Computer Science at Stanford University.
