Gabriel Eirea has worked in the semiconductor industry since 1994. Gabriel began their career at ANTEL as an Engineer and then moved to Fairchild Semiconductor in 2004 as an Applications Engineer. In 2006, they joined Universidad de la República as a Professor, where they were responsible for education and research on electrical engineering, control systems and power electronics, as well as supervision of all undergraduate capstone projects. Gabriel also created a new electronics lab for student projects. In 2015, they joined Fairchild as a Member Technical Staff Design Engineer, and then moved to ON Semiconductor in 2016, where they were responsible for design control loops of dc-dc converters for mobile applications and system-level modeling and architecture design of dc-dc converters. Gabriel Eirea is currently employed at Empower Semiconductor as a Principal Systems Engineer.
Gabriel Eirea completed their PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006. Gabriel obtained their MSc in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in 2001. From 1989 to 1997, they studied Electronica Industrial at Universidad de la República, obtaining the degree of Ing. Elec.
