Alexander Barroca

Alexander Barroca, Esq. serves as a Senior Account Executive at Empowerly since August 2024, following a distinguished career in law and education. Previous roles include practicing as a lawyer with the Department of Justice and Public Safety in Newfoundland, and working as a Program Coordinator at the University of Georgia, where a Master's in International Business Law was developed and taught. Alexander has also held positions as the Assistant Director of Recruitment at Columbia University School of Professional Studies and as a Legal Instructor for online Paralegal courses at the Center for Legal Studies. Notably, experience as a Law Placement Specialist at the Institute of International Education involved placing Fulbright students at prestigious U.S. law schools. Alexander holds a BCL and a JD from McGill University, as well as an LLM from the University of Toronto, and has been admitted to the New York Bar since 2019.
