Alison Hamar

Alison Hamar has extensive experience as a college counselor, currently working at Empowerly since May 2023 and at Transitions Counseling since December 2017. Previously, Alison served as the head college counselor at WeAdmit from July 2020 to June 2022, and as an initial hire in EdTech at Transizion from August 2020 to April 2023. Additional roles include college counselor at Makua Lani Christian Academy from August 2018 to December 2019 and English teacher at the same institution from September 2015 to August 2017. Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, completed undergraduate work in Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
