Amit Rand

Amit Rand is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics of Computation at UCLA. Amit has gained valuable experience as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon, focusing on machine learning for the Project Kuiper Payload Radio Team since June 2025. In addition, Amit serves as an Undergraduate Researcher at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, working on generative AI applications in the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Lab. Other notable internships include positions as a Research Scientist Intern at Leidos, specializing in graphs and reinforcement learning, a Technical Advisor Intern at Scale AI for performance optimization, and a Software Development Engineer Intern at Q.ai, a stealth startup backed by prominent investors. Amit also contributed to research at Stanford University, examining computer vision techniques for diagnosing infectious keratitis.
