Robert Whiteside

Robert Whiteside has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Robert began their career at Oracle Corporation UK Limited, where they held various Enterprise Sales roles, selling a range of Oracle products and solutions. Robert then joined Google in 2005, where they founded, built, and led the Google Cloud division, contributing to its growth to over $1 billion in annual revenue and pioneering cloud computing in the business market. After leaving Google in 2012, Robert held senior leadership positions at Expedia, Inc., EVRYTHNG, GoCardless, Firefly Learning, and BridgeU, where they led commercial functions, sales, marketing, and operations. Robert also supported the setup and growth of the London Revenue Collective, which later became the international community, Pavilion. Currently, they are the Chief Revenue Officer at EmpowerRD, a UK-based Fintech company supporting UK Limited companies in claiming Research and Development Tax Credits.

Robert Whiteside attended Bournemouth University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Systems Management.
