EMT was originally formed to service industry in the maintenance, overhaul and refurbishment of rotating machines such as motors and generators. Since our incorporation, Electric Motor and Transmission has undergone many changes and has grown into the business that we are today. As the company grew, an import and sales network was established with a vast distribution network covering both Australia and New Zealand.

After the establishment of a Projects Division, the company's reputation for engineered service was quickly established and from a small rewind shop we have now grown to be a respected name in the industry. In recent years our product range has expanded to include Variable Frequency Drives, Electromagnetic Disc Brakes, Pumps, Geared Motors, High Voltage Motors and various types of Engineered Fabricated products. We also have diversified in to handling projects in water and waste water assets, engineering and fabrication works for heavy industries.
