Kresh Goomany

Kresh Goomany has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Kresh currently serves as the CEO of Emtel, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, they were the Deputy CEO of Emtel from April 2018 to January 2021. Kresh also served as the Chief Operating Officer of Emtel from August 2014 to April 2018.

Before joining Emtel, Goomany worked at Mahindra Comviva as the Chief Operating Officer for Africa Operations from June 2013 to July 2014. Prior to that, they were the Managing Partner at Anglo African Ltd from May 2011 to June 2013.

Goomany also has previous experience at Comviva Technologies Ltd (previously Bharti Telesoft Ltd), where they served as the VP of Sales for Africa from an unknown start date to May 2011.

Kresh'searliest work experience in the industry was at Cellplus Mobile Communications Ltd, where they held the role of Executive Director/General Manager from August 1999 to October 2006. Kresh played a crucial role in the company's transformation into the leading mobile operator in Mauritius and significantly increased its profitability during their tenure.

Goomany began their career at Mauritius Telecom, where they held technical roles as Telecom Engineer from May 1992 to July 1994 and Technical Manager from August 1994 to July 1999.

Kresh Goomany completed their Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham from 1986 to 1989. Kresh then pursued a Master of Science degree in Telematics from the University of Surrey, which they completed from 1990 to 1991. Later, Kresh Goomany enrolled in Heriot-Watt University, where they obtained an MBA degree from 1996 to 1999.
