Derek Chen

Derek Chen is currently employed as a Software Developer at emtelligent since September 2022. Previously, Derek served as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo from May 2021 to August 2021 and held the position of Teaching Assistant for various courses at the same university between January 2019 and December 2020. Additional experience includes a Research Assistant role at the University of Waterloo in June 2018, a Research Volunteer position at Sunnybrook in May 2017, focusing on virtual reality applications in Alzheimer's treatment, and another Research Volunteer role at Applied Biological Materials in May 2015, where techniques in molecular biology were researched. Derek Chen is pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science at The University of British Columbia, expected to graduate in May 2024, holds a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Waterloo, completed in June 2021, and has a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto, earned in 2018.
