Aylin Gurzel

Aylin Gurzel is currently an Assistant Professor at EMU, specializing in the non-proliferation studies of weapons of mass destruction, arms control, and international security. Aylin completed a Ph.D. in International Relations and National Security Studies at Bilkent University, focusing on the Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction Program. Prior to this role, Aylin worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at Bilkent University and studied economics at Stockholm University. Aylin's research interests center on nuclear politics, foreign policy, and energy security, particularly concerning the Middle East, East Asia, Russia, and the United States.
