enabl Technologies
Nik Schmidt is the founder of enabl Technologies, a company established in May 2021 that develops automated solutions for intralogistics, addressing skilled labor shortages through a combination of teleoperation and forklift automation. Prior to this venture, Nik Schmidt gained experience as a working student in the Automated Mobility group at Schaeffler from April 2018 to December 2021, focusing on the development and commissioning of autonomous prototype vehicles and related software. Earlier professional experiences include an internship at AUDI AG in the Construction of V-Engines from September 2017 to March 2018 and a student assistant role at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from May 2016 to September 2017, where responsibilities included tutoring, supporting research staff, and prototype workshop work. Nik Schmidt completed a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at KIT, graduating in 2021.
