Erik Matien

Erik Matien is an experienced entrepreneur and program manager with a career spanning multiple roles focused on innovation, energy transition, and business development. Currently serving as an Innovatie- en transitieversneller at Enablemi since October 2011, Erik also holds the position of Programmamanager for the BEHeaT project at the Eindhoven Institute for Renewable Energy Systems while managing valorization and business development for the Department of Electrical Engineering. Additionally, Erik has been a project manager for the gas-free neighborhood initiative in Pekela, a business coach for startups, and a mentor in various accelerative programs. With academic credentials in Communication Studies and Economics from the University of Groningen and Hanze University, Erik combines practical experience with a solid educational background to drive sustainable energy solutions and business growth.
