Carmela Casula has been working in the engineering field since 2005. Carmela began their career at Edit Engineering as a Designer. In 2012, they joined GE Oil&Gas as a Lead Control Engineer, where they were responsible for Control System design for Turboexpanders and Steam Turbines (both generator and mechanical drive applications). Carmela also provided site support for control system non-conformity management and collaborated in different standardization activities regarding safety related functions. In 2014, they joined Baker Hughes, a GE company, as a System Integration Engineer. Currently, they are a Senior Safety Engineer at Enapter, working on product certifications needed for local and foreign markets. Carmela is also leading product safety-related activities and representing Enapter within national/international standardization working groups and associations with focus on hydrogen production.
Carmela Casula obtained their Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical systems, electrical machines, power electronics) from Università di Pisa in 2007. Carmela also holds certifications from Istituto Italiano di Project Management - ISIPM (ISIPM-base, obtained in March 2018), GE Oil&Gas (Green Belt, obtained in December 2012), TÜV Rheinland AG (Functional Safety, obtained in November 2014), and INCOSE (INCOSE CSEP, obtained in November 2018).
