Rob Cashell

Rob Cashell, MBA has an extensive work experience in the energy industry. Starting from 1991, they worked in the US Navy as a Nuclear MM2 (SS), where they operated and maintained the steam engine room and primary nuclear systems on submarines. After their honorable discharge in 1997, they joined Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a Dynamic Balancing and Vibration Analysis Engineer. In this role, they oversaw the dynamic balancing of steam turbine generators, performed machinery health analysis, and recommended bearing maintenance.

In 2006, Cashell joined El Paso Natural Gas (later bought by Kinder Morgan) as a Mechanical Engineer. Here, they strategically worked with pipeline operators to optimize operating parameters and assisted in integrating Pi data for visual representations of pipeline volume.

In 2007, Cashell joined Colorado Springs Utilities and held various roles, including Energy Trader/Scheduler, Energy Supply Trader Supervisor, and Senior Energy Trader/Originator. In these roles, they traded natural gas, managed portfolio balances, analyzed option strategies, and provided strategic guidance to trading desks. Rob also oversaw a team of energy traders and implemented more efficient procedures.

Currently, Cashell works at Enchanted Rock as the Director of Natural Gas Supply, a role they started in 2023.

Throughout their career, Cashell has consistently displayed expertise in the energy industry, combining technical knowledge with strategic decision-making skills.

Rob Cashell, MBA holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Finance, General from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Rob also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University. Additionally, they are a Certified NERC Qualified Balance and Interchange Operator, obtained in 2009 from NERC: Natural Environment Research Council.
