Previously, Kamel held positions such as Chairman & CEO at Moka Group, where they provided business strategy and financing solutions for international firms in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. Kamel also served as Chairman & CEO at Clariden Middle East, a subsidiary of Credit Suisse Group, and as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank (Suisse), focusing on Middle Eastern and Arab clients worldwide. Additionally, Kamel served as the CEO of State Steet Global Advisors - Middle East, overseeing the Arab and Islamic countries region, and as a VP at Gulf Investment Corporation, specializing in investment banking and corporate finance.

Kamel M. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1979. Kamel then pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering & Management at Stanford University, completing it in 1980. In 1977, they briefly attended the University of California, Berkeley. Later, Kamel M. earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the International School of Management between 2015 and 2021.
