Founded in 2015 by leading-edge pioneers of self-organization in Europe and the USA, encode.org provides proven models, rules, agreements, and methodologies for purpose-driven organizations striving to fully distribute authority and ownership across the whole organizational system.

encode.org’s framework, the For-Purpose Enterprise (FPE) is the only existing enterprise model that fully eliminates power-over (from the legal and fiduciary, over the organizational to the people container). Through property-based ownership, dynamic equity, rule-based operating systems, and next-stage models for interpersonal cooperation and interaction, the FPE transcends the current concept of work as “employment” and pushed the boundaries of the legal system to allow people to work, earn and live on purpose.

Our enterprise purpose is to connect power, purpose, and work. We pursuit it guided by our five fundamentals: purpose, structure, awareness, agency, and visibility.
