Yan Su

Yan Su is a highly experienced scientist specializing in protein and enzyme characterization, currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Encodia, Inc. since June 2018. Expertise includes the development of high-throughput screening assays for binder hit discovery, enzyme characterization, and assay design and optimization, with significant achievements such as identifying enzymes with 500-fold increased catalytic efficiency and establishing a high-throughput NGS workflow. Previous roles at Encodia included Senior Scientist in Assay Development and Scientist II and I in the same field. Prior experience encompasses a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University, where research focused on DNA polymerases and their mechanisms, and a doctoral degree from Stony Brook University, detailing contributions to DNA repair mechanisms. Yan Su holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and a B.S. in Chemistry.
